Favicon Generator

Upload any image and get a complete, modern favicon set — favicon.ico, PNG icons for browser tabs, an Apple touch icon for iOS home screens, Android Chrome icons, and a web app manifest — bundled into one ZIP, ready to drop into your site's root folder. You can also choose a solid background color (useful since iOS shows a black background and Android a white background behind transparent icons), adjust padding, set a theme color, and name your app for the web manifest.

How it works

Your image is never uploaded to or stored on our servers. The generated favicon.ico embeds a 48×48 PNG in the modern PNG-in-ICO format supported by every current browser and Windows since Vista, alongside favicon-96x96.png, favicon-192x192.png, favicon-512x512.png, and an Apple touch icon — all bundled with a web manifest into one ZIP. If your source image is itself an SVG, the original is also included as favicon.svg for browsers that support scalable vector favicons.

Worked example

Upload your logo, adjust background, padding, theme color, app name, or base path if you like, and click Download ZIP — you'll get favicon.ico, favicon-96x96.png, favicon-192x192.png, favicon-512x512.png, apple-touch-icon.png, and site.webmanifest (plus favicon.svg if you uploaded an SVG), along with a ready-to-paste HTML snippet for your page's <head> that updates live as you change the base path.

Does my image get uploaded anywhere?
– No — nothing is ever sent to a server. Your image and the generated files never leave your device.
What image formats can I upload?
– PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG. A square source image gives the cleanest result, but any image is automatically shrunk to fit inside a square, with your chosen background filling the rest — nothing is ever cropped.
Will the generated favicon.ico actually work?
– Yes — it's a real ICO file (not just a renamed PNG), built with the same PNG-in-ICO format modern operating systems and browsers expect.
Do I need all the files, or just favicon.ico?
– For full support across browsers, iOS home screens, and Android/Chrome, use all of them alongside the provided HTML snippet — but a bare favicon.ico alone still works as a baseline fallback.
